Try these specific studies:

The Daniel Plan daniel-plan A group in our church went through the Daniel Plan and liked it. It’s a group based on exercise and eating right, so if people don’t understand what they’re getting into and aren’t committed, they’ll drop like flies. But, those who committed really enjoyed it. Our group stretched the series out over 12 weeks instead of 40 days.

The Purpose Driven Life
the purpose driven life

One group went through the Purpose Driven Life together. They spread the lessons over a 12 week period. This is a classic devotional book that’s hard to beat.

S.H.A.P.E.
shape book If you’re looking to get more people involved in your church, there may not be a better series than this. We haven’t explicitly used this book for small groups yet, but we did preach through this series and offer a spiritual gifts test night. It was extremely helpful! Click Here.

The Good and Beautiful God/Life/Community
good and beautiful god book There are 3 books in this series and they’re some of the best books I’ve read over the past few years. The Good and Beautiful God explains who God is in a way that will probably surprise a lot of people. At the end of each chapter it gives a way to implement what was learned in the chapter. Then there’s the Good and Beautiful Life and Good and Beautiful Community. Each is worth a read!

Not a Fan
not a fan We personally haven’t used this series in groups yet, but I’ve heard a lot of people love the book. I’ve read parts of it and it seems like it could be used as a church to help get people involved and not “sit on the sidelines.”

Experiencing GodExperiencing God bookThis is a classic. You can either read the book as a group or work through the workbook. I have found the workbook to be a little too intense, but the book is amazing! If nothing else, go buy the book and read it.
